Neil Lennon has dished out some high praise to Celtic winger Marian Shved this week after being impressed by the 22-year-old in Dubai training.

Celtic fans are looking for the team to hit a new gear in the second half of the season after a disappointing end to December. We’re locked in a tough title fight and also have ambitions to progress in Europe.

“It’s not easy for guys to adapt sometimes, especially if family is not there as well. He’s a bit of a slow burner, but he’s still young and I’ve really liked what I have seen of him. He’s been good.”

With plenty of matches on the immediate horizon in multiple competitions, the Ukrainian international may just be trusted to make his first-ever Celtic start sooner rather than later.
