Celtic fans booed defender Dedryck Boyata and cheered teammate Marvin Compper at the medal collection.
Compper’s may be for humorous purposes but at the same time Boyata didn’t deserve it.
The centre-half returned from adversity to be the Hoops’ number one defender. In contrast, the German has one appearance and is stealing a wage.
Fans must remember that before remembering the two players.
Hoops fans poor treatment of Dedryck Boyata
An audible element of the Celtic support booed the Belgian when he collected his medal.

He had a topsy turvey season as he fell out with the club over a potential move.
This caused him not to play in the all important Champions League qualifier against AEK Athens.
However, he returned to put in stellar performances and helped steady a shaky ship this season.
Now, as a free agent, Boyata will join Hertha Berlin next season.
This shouldn’t irk anyone of a Celtic persuasion at all as he is free to do what he likes and has given the club proper service.
He earned his money and won trophies, giving all the fans the success they would want.

Lay off the bloke, he’s done nothing wrong and has the right to try a different football experience.
Marvin Compper is an embarrassment
The former Red Bull Leipzig man on the other hand is a disgrace.
The man came in from Germany as an experienced defender that needed to do a job.
Unfortunately, his one brief appearance against Partick Thistle in the cup is all he can muster.

This went two fold when out of nowhere he appeared on German TV as a pundit.
The man belittles the club and steals a good wage without agreeing a deal to move on.
He should donate his medal to charity or give it to a fan as he doesn’t deserve it.
Even for comedic purposes, the Compper affair is not funny, he should have been chased out the park.
