Scott Sinclair’s performance against Hibernian has brought plenty of criticism his way once again.

Celtic were beaten yet again at Easter Road after goals from Vykintas Slivka and Florian Kamberi took the spoils for Neil Lennon’s men. This comes after losing at the same venue back in April.

In terms of the league title, the defeat gives Rangers the chance to leapfrog the Hoops and Kilmarnock to go top. This would leave Celtic down in third place after another catastrophic away-day.

Every performer to a man for the club was poor on the day. Yet one of the most noticeable targets for ire was winger Sinclair. Taking to Twitter to vent their anger, The Celtic support let rip at the out-of-form Englishman.

Sinclair not impressing anyone

It’s worth mentioning that there are several voices of support for Sinclair within the Celtic fanbase. The truth is, however, that today was once again wasn’t anywhere near the standard he needs to be at.

He made several good runs down the right and looked to get crosses into the penalty area. Despite that, however, he was generally lackluster and failed to create any meaningful moments during the game.

His dreadful form for Celtic continues to anger supporters – many of whom have had enough of his inconsistency. He was by no means the worst on the park today, but he wasn’t impressive either.

Celtic signed Sinclair for around £4million in the summer of 2016. Despite a blistering first year that seen him notch 25 goals in a terrific campaign, he’s since managed just 23 goals in the last year-and-a-half.

The return of Michael Johnston to the team sheet today could give Sinclair something to think about. He looked extremely vibrant for the Champions when he came on, dazzling with his quick feet and always looking to take the Hibs defence on.

He showed the kind of confidence that Sinclair is currently lacking, with competition now heating up down the flanks once more.

For Sinclair, however, he should certainly avoid going on social media for a short while.
