There was a time when an away draw in the Champions League would have been celebrated by Celtic fans.
After all, since first taking part in the group stages in 2001, Celtic have only managed five away draws in the Champions League.
Two of those have come this season after the Bhoys drew with Atalanta in Bergamo and then in last nightโs trip to Croatia, Celticโs stalemate with Dinamo Zagreb puts Brendan Rodgers on course to get out of the league stage.
But there seems to be a mixed sense of feelings about last nightโs draw in Croatia after Celtic announced the 0-0 result on social media.
Celtic fans leave Brendan Rodgers in no doubt of what they think of Champions League Zagreb draw
The reaction to the draw was one of disappointment and, in some cases, anger as many Celtic fans vented their feelings about the stalemate in Zagreb.
One Celtic fan said, โA point away is always decent, but that game was for the winning.โ and another replied, โIโm not mad Iโm just disappointed. 2 clean sheets away from home isnโt bad but our attack did more after the subs came on than the whole game lads.โ
One Hoops fan gave a balanced view on the Zagreb result:
โCalm down. Itโs going to be like this for another 3/4 years at least, and weโre still improving. The expectation levels โ on here at least, most fans I talk to in real life are more realistic โ are way above where they should be. We march on. ๐โ
Celtic fans talk League Cup final vs Rangers after Champions League draw with Dinamo Zagreb
Now that Champions League takes a back seat for a few weeks, Celtic fans have the League Cup final against Rangers to look forward to.

Well, after these comments, maybe looking forward to is the wrong turn of phrase.
Another Celtic fan said, โDonโt know what to make of that. The Bhoys looked like they never moved out of first gear. A pointโs a point I suppose. Roll on Sunday ๐๐โ
And the Rangers theme continues as more Celtic fans comment:
โTurn up like that on Sunday and you can forget it.โ
โHope that was us saving ourselves for Sunday.โ
It wasnโt too long ago that Celtic fans would have been delighted with an away point in the Champions League.
I suppose if thereโs is anything the club can take away from these comments, the disappointment shared at the result shows how far Celtic have come against Europeโs elite.
At least qualification from the league phase is still in Celticโs hands and with Young Boys up next at Celtic Park, fans will be confident of getting the win that secure a play-off place after January.
