We gave 67 Hail Hail fans on TalkingPoints the chance to say what they would do if they were given the chance to manage Celtic for the rest of the season.

Martin O’Neill has worked wonders in difficult circumstances but cracks are beginning to appear after back-to-back defeats, leaving them on the brink of a Europa League exit and their hopes of winning the Scottish Premiership title hanging by a thread.

We don’t know if the Celtic legend will be in charge beyond this season, which is why we asked you to join the conversation on TalkingPoints and name the changes you would make if you were in the dugout.

How Celtic fans would manage the side for the rest of the season

A lot of the conversation revolved around personnel change, with many wanting to see Kasper Schmeichel and Reo Hatate dropped from the starting XI.

Others went even further and suggested that they would alter the formation and adopt a 4-4-2 instead.

This TalkingPoints user said: “Drop Hatate and Maeda for the rest of the season, they are giving nothing for the team. Give Luke McCowan a chance at least he tries and puts effort in.”

A second said: “I would change the goalkeeper. The reason for this is Kasper has been a great servant for Celtic during the time he has been here, but his time is over.”

Another commented: “I’d go for 4-4-2. Something different as the three in midfield isn’t working.”

One user agreed with the previous comment, replying: “Definitely 4-4-2. We’re getting overrun in the midfield and it would provide more space up top.”

A fifth said: “Drop KS .. Maeda.. Hatate.. Scales never good enough but no one to take his place.”
