Celtic fans pay tribute to Rangers man Andy Halliday

Celtic fans have been having a little bit of Twitter fun at the expense of Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday.

The 27-year-old Gers man is celebrating four years at Ibrox as the club announced on their official Twitter feed on Thursday morning. They tweeted four images of the player with the caption: “Four years ago today Andy Halliday joined his boyhood club”.

The midfielder, who has never been capped by Scotland, isn’t the most liked of figures among the Celtic support. He is one of the more volatile figures in the Gers camp and is regularly taunted by both Hoops fans and players during derbies.

Halliday lost the rag when Steven Gerrard’s men were defeated at Parkhead back in March. He was sent off following a heated exchange with Scott Brown after the Celtic man had taunted him during the encounter.
