Some Celtic fans are in amazement about Rangers captain James Tavernier’s programme notes.

Tavernier appears to be throwing in the towel in his address to the Gers support.

The Englishman goes as far to say his side “are not good enough domestically.”

The notes were printed for the match where Rangers were subsequently defeated against Hamilton Accies.

A dismal Celtic needed an injury time equaliser away at Livingston to take a point.

However, it turned into a valuable point as the Hoops stretched their lead at the top to 13 points.

Rangers succumbed to Hamilton Accies at Ibrox and were unable to muster a leveller despite many chances.

Perhaps it was coming, going on what Tavernier had told the fans pre-match in the programme.

He said: “Whenever anybody puts a bit of pressure on us in Scotland or gets in our face it seems to affect us too much.

“At the start of the season teams dropped off us and we were scoring four or five goals, but now they smell blood straight away and puts us under pressure.

“We are not good enough domestically at the minute to react to that.”

This defeatist attitude has got Celtic fans rubbing their hands together as the Hoops will smell blood.
