Celtic fans are absolutely beaming about loanee Oliver Burke’s performance against St Johnstone.

The winger turned strike put in another stellar match, helping the Hoops progress to the next round of the Scottish Cup.

If he keeps this up, the fans will be banging on Peter Lawwell’s door to make a permanent deal happen.

How Burke influences Celtic matches

The Scotland international is tireless when it comes to the effort he puts in to games.

One of his main traits is his tenacity and drive to win possession back after losing it.

It’s the only thing on his mind and he has the athleticism to back it up.

Yesterday’s two assists are fantastic examples of what Burke is bringing to the team in attack.

Thundering runs to the byline from anywhere in the pitch is allowing players to line up in the box, ready for the low cross to the centre to shoot at goal.

He teed up Sinclair twice by doing this and was unlucky not to make more of a mark on the game.

Celtic fans react to loanee’s performance

The Hoops faithful are taking to Twitter to show their appreciation of the 21-year-old.

The Celtic fans are clear on star’s future

It’s obvious the supporters want a permanent deal for the Burke in the future.

He is only on loan from West Brom until the end of the season and his parent club want to keep him.

It beggars belief why the new Celtic man isn’t making greater progress with the English Championship side.

With the likes of Teemu Pukki ripping it up for Norwich City, surely our man stands a better chance in future.

However, for now, he is with Celtic and the fans are getting exactly what they want with him.

An athlete with great prowess and a killer instinct in front of goal – something the Hoops have been missing recently.

Let’s hope a future permanent move can happen in the future.
