Celtic fans are right to be excited
It’s easy to see why so many Celtic fans are excited by this move for 10-time Switzerland cap Ajeti.
He is still young at 23, but also has years of experience and goals behind him.
Like fellow Celtic star Mohamed Elyounoussi, he has played for Basel. The Swiss side share a lot of similarities to ourselves, in terms of domestic and European success, so he should know the kind of pressures to expect in Scotland.
With Ajeti, Odsonne Edouard and an ever-improving Patryk Klimala all good options up front now, there is less reliance on Leigh Griffiths getting back to peak condition.
Of course, it would be an added bonus to have Griff back firing soon. But you kind of feel we’ve relieved ourselves of a bit of pressure by signing Ajeti.
This one gets a huge thumbs up from us. Let’s hope he can hit the ground running.
