Celtic fans react to Joe Hart Atalanta co-commentary duty on TNT Sports

Joe Hart made his co-commentary debut on TNT Sports this evening as he called Celtic’s away draw with Atalanta.

The former Hoops goalkeeper took hold of the microphone alongside lead comms Rory Hamilton on TNT as he analysed his old teammates and their performances.

It was a terrific defensive display from the Scottish league leaders with the likes of Auston Trusty, Liam Scales and Hart’s goalie replacement Kasper Schmeichel putting in superb performances at the back.

Hart was full of praise for Celts for their showing but he was never afraid to identify where his old teammates were perhaps lacking in quality and how they could improve.

The Englishman had a unique insight into Schmeichel’s distribution in particular as he was able to put himself in the Dane’s boots and examine what he might have done in each scenario.

Fans were delighted to hear the 37-year-old’s analysis with plenty simply pleased to see him still following their club even on official work business.

Most of the comments on social media were seriously positive in support of their old stopper and many demanded TNT Sports have the man on all of their coverage throughout the campaign.

One added: “Got to say, I liked Joe Hart in the commentary,” while a fourth said: “The only thing as good as the result was having Joe Hart on co comms.”

Hart became a bonafide Hoops legend during his three-year stint and had punters disappointed when he announced last season that he would retire at the end of that term.

Schmeichel would come into the fold to replace him and he was one of the key performers this evening according to 67 Hail Hail’s player ratings.
