Celtic fans have been encouraged to arrive early at Hampden this Sunday as enhanced ticket cordons and searches will be in place in and around the National Stadium.
Neil Lennon takes his team to Mount Florida as they hunt a tenth successive domestic trophy in front of their adoring fanbase. Around 25,000 Celtic fans will pack the stadium for what is sure to be a momentous afternoon’s football.

But before the game gets underway, those fans have been given a little bit of advice, with supporters liaison officer John Paul Taylor passing on knowledge on Friday morning.
The Celtic end will be rocking at Hampden
Last month, we told you how the National Stadium had introduced a new barcode system for the cup’s semi-final matches. The new setup seemed to work relatively well for our game against Hibernian and the stadium was packed for kick-off.
Sunday’s clash should pass off without interest but it is sound advice from Taylor to want all the Celtic fans in as early as possible. As is always the case with Glasgow derby matches, the atmosphere will be deafening from around an hour before kick-off with both sets of fans making some noises.

Of course, there’s only one side who will come out on top in that regard, and hopefully that will be further emphasised by a few Celtic goals.
3pm kick-offs are rare for Celtic-Rangers matches. That should help bring the atmosphere on to another level as should the fact a lot of the game will be played under the floodlights. It’s shaping up to be a remarkable occasion. Hopefully it remains that way throughout the 90 minutes.
