Celtic have announced that the home match against Hibernian on December 29th has sold-out.
Ange Postecoglou’s men face the Hibees twice this month, with the league clash at Celtic Park coming ten days after the Premier Sports Cup final.
The latter is always a match that was destined to sell-out.
But for a midweek fixture around the festive period to be sold-out three weeks in advance, is pretty solid backing from the Celtic support.
The club announced the news on Wednesday lunchtime.
Hibernian will visit a sold-out Celtic Park
The fixture will be Celtic’s final one of 2021, a year that has seen the playing squad reborn under Ange.
Andrés Iniesta poses with another Celtic target, as ridiculous Hearts whining continues
It will arrive just a matter of days before the second derby of the season against Rangers, but shouldn’t be underestimated, given the calibre of Jack Ross’ side.
The Hoops support clearly aren’t underestimating the size of the fixture, given today’s news.
It’s yet more evidence that the Celtic faithful are enjoying watching their team play this season, in stark contrast to what we witnessed on the ‘Pass To Paradise’ at home last term.
Let’s hope it’s a night to remember against Hibs.
