So you win one trophy in 25 years. Then you sign a player who’s won 23 times as many in half the time, and still you’re not happy.
Yes, Aberdeen fans are tricky to work out.
But, as many Dons supporters fumed over the pre-contract signing of Scott Brown on Thursday, some Celtic fans were keen to remind them who and what they had signed.
Oh, and that they should be pleased about it.

Signing Brown is a great piece of business for Aberdeen
It is hard to find a Celtic comparison for Aberdeen signing Brown.
Maybe it’s like us sealing a major move for Neymar this summer (no laughing at the back) or Stephan Lichtsteiner shortly after he was detached from Gary Hooper in 2013.
The Dons fans may not like Brown very much, but that is mainly down to the fact he has bodied them season after season for the last decade.
There’s definitely a lesson from them there.

Brown clearly thinks he can still play at Premiership level. And, after watching him dominate against Rangers last Sunday, few would disagree.
The Dons play far fewer games than Celtic so Brown will get more rest. He will play with less pressure and will be able to advance his coaching credentials as a result.
Oh, and he may help Aberdeen to a trophy or two. Miracles do happen after all.
