Celtic fans seem to be split on the potential appointment of Neil Lennon as the club’s next manager. The club recently announced on the official Twitter account that Lennon had been offered the job as the Hoops boss.
The news seems to have split the Hoops support. One fan described the potential appointment as ‘absolutely amazing’.
Bad timing according to one fan

On the other hand, another fan felt that the timing of the announcement was all wrong, coming less than an hour after the ‘treble treble’ was clinched.
Here are some of the best reactions to the Lennon news from social media:

Lennon seems to have indicated that he will accept the job, according to Clyde Superscoreboard.
It will be interesting to see how Lennon fares next season. He did the job required when he was brought in to replace Brendan Rodgers. He helped to clinch the treble.

Performances have been poor
However, the performances for the most part have been very poor. That could be why the support seems to be split on the prospect of Lennon taking over.

Should he get the job he will need to be backed in the transfer market. The Hoops are badly in need of freshening up, as was shown in the cup final win over Hearts.
You would have to imagine though, that if Lennon gets off to a poor start next season the pressure will be on. It promises to be an intriguing few weeks ahead at Celtic Park.
