Benjamin Nygren’s impressive start at Celtic continued this week after his deadly double helped secure a 4-2 win at Livingston.

The Celtic midfielder has been in exceptional form this season as Nygren bagged his ninth and tenth goals so far in the Bhoys’ win at Livingston.

With 15 goal contributions, Celtic fans are now starting to see a real player developing in Nygren inside Wilfried Nancy’s system.

However, after his masterclass at Almondvale, Celtic supporters are sending Nancy a big message about Nygren as they hint towards a positional change for the big Swede.

Celtic fans hail Benjamin Nygren ‘enigma’ with positional change mooted

Celtic fans are loving Nygren as he continues to develop into an important goalscoring midfielder for Wilfried Nancy.

And with games against Motherwell and Rangers coming up, supporters are telling Nancy exactly where to play Nygren in Celtic’s next two fixtures.

@Chalky1888 appears to have another position in mind for Nygren and said, “In the 10 position he’s quality. He could probably play as a striker too.”

And that sentiment is shared by @bulgingonionbag as he said, “Right now I’d play him up front ahead of Kenny and Yamada.”

@A1_CELTIC backed the Swede and said the Celtic star gets unnecessary criticism, “Nygren gets a lot of stick for his general play but one thing he is good at is finding the back of the net, what a hit.”

As for @BelfColm74, he wasn’t happy with Johnny Kenny and said, “Kenny is absolutely s—-. Play Nygren as a “false 9” until we sign someone.

“Get Hatate/Bernardo back in and we’ll be a lot better offensively.”

And finally:

The message could not be more crystal clear, but Nancy is unlikely to make such a bold move, especially as Nygren is thriving in his current role in the Celtic team.

Benjamin Nygren’s message to Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy

Nygren was over the moon with his performance and the two goals against Livingston.

And after hearing the Celtic boss wanted to sign him at Columbus Crew, Nygren told the Daily Record, “It was very important.

“All games are massive but today they dropped points and we won so we got closer.

“The manager has been good for me. He’s a great manager and we will keep working hard for him. I heard he tried to sign me – but I came here instead!”

It seems the Swede is right behind the Celtic manager as the Bhoys close the gap to Hearts at the top of the league.

And that camaraderie will be needed against Motherwell on Tuesday and then again against Rangers at Celtic Park on the 3rd of January.
