Read MoreCeltic fans voice concerns over potential postponement of Livingston clash
The Celtic fans have this morning been voicing major concerns over whether today’s clash with Livingston will go ahead.
Lothian was absolutely battered with another layer of snow last night. West Lothian where the Tony Macaroni Arena is based was one of the areas affected.
Celtic had been put on red alert over the last couple of weeks. Twice Livingston have had to postpone a home clash against Aberdeen due to conditions with the pitch.
The Daily Record, however, has reported that a Livingston source has informed them the game will go ahead tonight.
Last week, Livi chief executive John Ward stated the terminology with regards to it being an “all-weather” pitch is wrong (Daily Record). The last few weeks back him up. Livingston’s games against the Dons have suffered due to a frozen pitch and heavy rainfall.
Celtic fans voice concerns; Livingston assurances mean little
In fairness to Livingston, they’ve yet to provide any sign today’s game can’t go on. Nothing about a scheduled pitch inspection. In fact, their Twitter account has been previewing the game all morning with pre-match content.
But even so, Celtic fans are right to be fearful. Livi have previous when it comes to late call-offs. In addition to that, this is one of our three much-discussed games in-hand.

Celtic understandably want these games played and out the road. Right enough, not so much that we couldn’t call-off a trip to Dubai to play one of them. Regardless, it would be great to actually get these nine points secured if possible.
Neil Lennon, however, would perhaps be a bit more relieved. It would give him some more time to work with his players after 10 days in self-isolation. Not many are confident ahead of tonight, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want it going ahead.
And the supporters have expressed that more than most as they voiced major concerns with the weather:
Livingston’s all weather pitch being a pitch that’s only playable in certain weather isn’t exactly a great advert for them. https://t.co/Kh6UpJzYti

Lots of snow in Livingston overnight…and we know their pitch doesn't have a great track record!

If Livingston haven't covered that pitch and it is off again they should be fined

See if the games postponed the night, action needs to be taken against Livingston. Absolute joke anyway that we've got plastic pitches on this league.

If Livingston didn't have a semi final on Sunday that they'll be favourites for then you'd imagine they'd be in a rush to clear that pitch. Don't see it happening though as the semi is far more important to them and there's meant to be more snow
