Celtic have little time to dwell on their Glasgow Derby defeat against Rangers at Ibrox as they prepare to face St Mirren tomorrow in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bhoys are set for their first home clash of 2025 after Brendan Rodgers saw out last year with wins over Motherwell and St Johnstone, but there is plenty of improvement to be had following their showing on Glasgow’s southside in midweek.

Despite the differential at the top of the table, Celtic never turned up against Rangers and paid the price for a sloppy performance. Nevertheless, the absence of a winter break could be a blessing in disguise.

Supporters won’t want to imagine a world where they had to sit on a result like that until the resumption of Scottish Premiership football. Thankfully, that isn’t the case, with a home clash against St Mirren next up at Parkhead.
