Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths has hit back at some of his haters in typical fashion.
During his six month break from football Griffiths was subjected to some disgusting chants from rival supporters. The 28-year-old was told that he’d never play football again among other vile chants.

And despite dealing with mental health issues, Griffiths has vowed to silence his haters this coming season.
He told the Daily Record: “It’ll be interesting to hear what they sing when I play against Rangers. It’s rivalry and people sing about opposing players; I’m just glad to have had minutes under my belt and, the more that happens, the less they’ll sing about me.
“They can sing about me if they want. If they do that then they’re leaving someone else in our team alone so that doesn’t bother me.
“Would it make it sweeter to score against them this season? My record against them isn’t bad, to be fair, especially at Ibrox.”

Griffiths will be raring to go for Celtic
You get the impression that Griffiths will be motivated by his haters.
The forward has always been the kind of player to pop up with a goal against one of his rivals. His record against both Rangers and Hearts – his two main rivals – is excellent and you wouldn’t back against him adding to that this season.
It’s been well documented, but the forward will really be like a new signing this term. We fought through the majority of last season with just one real forward so to add another key one back to our ranks is great news.

Griffiths will be able to take the pressure off Odsonne Edouard this season. He’s a really good back-up striker to have. Someone who gives us a different option off the bench against tiring teams.
We’re all hoping for a big season from Griffiths.
