The waters are proving to be rocky for Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur.
This is Postecoglou’s second season as a Premier League manager and he is facing contrasting fortunes to the ones that he experienced in Celtic colours.
When Ange first walked through the doors of Celtic Park, the club was on the floor because Steven Gerrard’s Rangers had just stopped the 10IAR.
A lot of senior players left and a rebuild was in hand, but it was no bother for the unknown figure that arrived from Japan’s top-tier.
Postecoglou was a breath of fresh air for Celtic, including winning the Treble in his final season, before departing for the so-called best league in the world during the summer of 2023.
But life is proving difficult for Postecoglou at Tottenham and there are calls for him to be sacked after the team suffered their 15th loss of the Premier League season away at Fulham over the weekend.

Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou told Daniel Levy could sack him even if Tottenham reach Europa League final
Tottenham’s unpopular chairman Daniel Levy has been here before, where managers have been hired and fired at will.
The 63-year-old, who has been in the Spurs boardroom since 2001, infamously sacked, the trophy-winning boss Jose Mourinho one week before the 2021 League Cup final.
Remember, this is a club that hasn’t won a trophy since 2008, yet had the audacity to boot out one of the greatest managers of all time, days before a final.
And now, Darren Bent thinks that, even if Postecoglou reaches the Europa League final, he could yet be booted out days before it, as he told talkSPORT.
Levy has done the unthinkable before and Bent thinks nothing is stopping him from doing it again.
“Do you think there is any chance, if Spurs were to get to the final of the Europa League,” said Bent. “But Daniel Levy has already apparently sounded out Iraola, Thomas Frank and Marco Silva.
“That a week before the final, they just (sack him), like they did with Jose.”
Andy Goldstein responded: “Not in a million years.”
Bent added: “You wouldn’t have said a million years to Jose.”
Goldstein then stated: “Not in a European final, he has learnt his lesson, surely.”
Bent then added: “I don’t know. Would you be shocked though? I wouldn’t be shocked. Jose, who is a master of finals, he did, so why would it shock you now? Why did they sack Jose? He got them to a final?”
Postecoglou gets deserved support from ex-Celtic player
There has been a lot of noise around Postecoglou for a while now and he has had to take a lot of verbal hits.
But, rather than pile on the Spurs boss, ex-Celtic player Ramon Vega wanted to support Postecoglou and fire shots at Levy instead.
“We have been going through major managers,” said Vega. “We are talking about the best managers in football. We know that. You guys know that as well.
“We got one guy (Mauricio Pochettino), who got us to the Champions League final, and they have been sacked as well. So, all of these unstable scenarios around the club don’t help the club.
“Going back to Ange, let’s be honest, which manager in the world, for nearly over two months, was playing teenagers, because the depth of the squad wasn’t there. Again, going back to the recruitment.”
