Celtic fans will always appreciate the chance to hear about how club legend Henrik Larsson is getting on given his heroic status among the support.
Memories concerning the King of Kings will forever be present at Parkhead owing to his incredible 242 goals at the club and his role in four Scottish Premiership title victories alongside the Road to Seville.
Of course, the above achievements mentioned barely scratch the surface; however, the 52-year-old is heralded as an iconic figure in these parts for so many reasons.
His journey into football coaching since retiring from playing duties has been an interesting one, with the former Sweden international previously finding himself manager of Landskrona and hometown club Helsingborg IF [Transfermarkt].
Most recently, he was assistant manager at Barcelona and he spent time at Högaborgs BK in a similar role over a decade ago.
Now, he has spoken out on speculation that has mentioned him in connection with a position at international level.

Sweden are on the hunt for a new manager after Janne Andersson’s departure, prompting Larsson to speak out on speculation linking him to the vacancy.
Referencing former international teammate Patrik Andersson’s suggestion that he should be considered, the Hoops icon didn’t fully rule out the prospect of one day taking on the role, though he doesn’t exactly seem to be in a hurry to resume his coaching career.
Larsson stated [Football Scotland]: “I have had some contact with someone at the union [Swedish FA]. Patrik is a good guy. But I have way too good a life right now.
“I am doing too well. I travel a lot, play padel tennis and golf, and see my grandchild whenever I want.”
He then added: “Right now, I don’t know. We will see. It’s just a lot of speculation. Let them take care of that in peace and quiet, and they will surely find the right person in the end.”

Quite rightly, Larsson looks to be enjoying life and he deserves nothing less after the service he has given to both Celtic and the wider footballing community.
In the past, there have been suggestions that he could even complete a sensational return to the club as manager; nevertheless, nobody would want to risk any of his enormous legacy in Glasgow.
Whether Larsson could ever take over as Sweden’s manager remains to be seen, though it would be a fascinating prospect if it ever happened.
