Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed that he is hopeful that Kristoffer Ajer will feature for the Hoops against Rangers on Sunday.
It looked as if Ajer would have no chance of making the Glasgow derby after suffering a groin injury against AIK in the Europa League.
However, the player is using the unconventional method of acupuncture to try to be fit for the fixture.
“He’s had a little bit of acupuncture on it” Lennon said, as reported by the BBC.
“Getting treatment”

“He’s getting treatment this morning and this afternoon, and we will see how he responds to that on Saturday” the Hoops boss concluded.
It would be a huge boost for Celtic if Ajer could make the game. Most Celtic fans seemed resigned to the player being out before Lennon’s comments.
That might have changed following the Celtic boss’ recent statements on the matter. Ajer has arguably been Celtic’s best defender in 2019.
Game will be more difficult if key player misses out

Going to Ibrox is never easy, and it would be that much more difficult without one of Celtic’s best players. Fans would be far more confident about getting a result should the defender make the game.
If Ajer makes the game, it will be interesting to see the position that he plays. He could once more be at right-back. However, Neil Lennon could elect to play him in his natural centre-back position.
Celtic fans everywhere will be eagerly awaiting the team for Ibrox when it is announced on Sunday morning. The appearance of Ajer in the starting line-up would certainly give the support a spring in their step ahead of the game.
