Neil Lennon has fired back at a Rangers fan who suggested that his supporters were ‘jealous’ when Celtic first appointed Ange Postecoglou as their manager following Micheal Beale’s sacking.
That’s another Rangers manager who has lasted less than a year at Ibrox!
As Neil Lennon touched upon, it wasn’t so long ago that those across Glasgow were ‘laughing’ at their rivals for bringing in the lesser-known Ange Postecoglou to the Scottish Premiership, as he told PLZ Soccer.
Yet, within 12 months, he was guiding Celtic to the title, as well as heading for the exit door this summer with a Treble in hand.
In the meantime, Rangers can’t even get their manager to last a year, with no clear idea as to who will now replace Michael Beale after he was booted out following their defeat to Aberdeen.
Celtic, especially when they scouted Ange Postecoglou, proved how it should be done, but when a Rangers fan expressed jealousy in that, given their club’s abject choice of appointments in recent years, Neil Lennon was having none of it.

Beale sacked by Rangers
“I have to disagree with the supporter who was jealous when Celtic brought in Ange,” said Lennon.
“When Ange came in. Everyone was like ‘Who is this guy?’ And halfway across the city. They were laughing, so let’s put that to bed.”

Ange Postecoglou getting stronger
It was hard to see big Ange leave this summer, but it was an understandable move given that he is going to an English Premier League side and the finances they have got to offer.
This is something that he just couldn’t turn down and now he is absolutely thriving at Tottenham.
Despite losing star man Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, they are unbeaten after seven Premier League games and sitting second in the table.
Whilst English supporters have been blown away by what Postecoglou has brought to the table, it won’t surprise those at Parkhead one bit because this magic was showcased on a weekly basis.
