Celtic injury list
Up next for the Hoops is Hearts, and there are a couple of players who are injury doubts for this match, as well as the Champions League fixture next week against Atletico.
With the club wanting to do well in all competitions this campaign, it is key that they have a full squad to choose from.
Here is the latest news around the players who are currently injured and their expected return dates.

Liel Abada Injury Update

LAST UPDATE: September 11th 2023
Liel Abada suffered a thigh injury with his country Israel during the international break in September 2023. It was a severe injury, with reports from Sky Sports suggesting that he could be out for around four months. This could see him miss the whole Champions League group stage.
Expected Return: Early January 2024
Stephen Welsh Injury Update

LAST UPDATE: August 21st 2023
Stephen Welsh has only made one appearance this season and he suffered a big injury which will see him sidelined for a long time. It was shared that the defender will need surgery after taking a knock in a training session with Celtic. Back in August, Brendan Rodgers shared that Welsh will be out for multiple months.
Expected Return: November 2023
For now, there are no other injuries to report, but it will be very interesting to see if there any updates ahead of the Hearts game. Multiple players are returning from international duty so Rodgers will no doubt be trying to assess any damage done as soon as possible.
