Celtic announced today, via the official club website, that season ticket holders will have the ability to test out their online ‘Pass To Paradise’ prior the official Scottish Premiership kick-off.

It’s been known for a while now that those who have purchased a season ticket will have online access to watch any home league match this season that is played without crowds in place.

Now the club have arranged two friendlies behind closed doors at Celtic Park on Sunday and Monday lunchtime, against top-flight sides Ross County and Hibernian.

Not only will the games be the final warm-up opportunities for Neil Lennon’s squad ahead of the opening Hamilton league fixture, they’ll also allow the club to test out how the online streaming system works.

Supporters are being encouraged to use their login details and tune in for the friendlies.

In a statement today, Celtic said: “Every Season Ticket holder will be sent their individual Pass to Paradise username and password so you can login and watch every minute of the action as the Bhoys make their long awaited return to Celtic Park.

“We are doing our best to make the ‘Pass to Paradise’ as easy as possible for you to access and use, however, we are asking you to bear with us as we launch the platform. We will have a technical support team in place to help with any enquiries you may have. Details on how to contact the team will be included with your login details.

“The login process for these matches will be the same for any future fixtures, so we would ask all Season Ticket holders to join us for these fixtures to validate your login credentials and test your use of the services to make sure you are fully up and running before the Champions kick-off their 2020/21 season against Hamilton.”

There will certainly be intrigue amongst fans this Sunday when thousands put a strain on the new system.

Everyone will be hoping that the online service works with their personal internet connections and isn’t hampered by technical problems.

Celtic TV has had its fair share of issues in the past but, hopefully, the planning and investment that’s gone into this new platform will ensure a great time for those who have invested heavily in the club this summer.

It’s important for season ticket holders that the club get this aspect right from the off, rewarding those who have been willing to pay without a guarantee of actually being able to attend games.

Sunday’s match against County kicks off at 1pm, while Monday’s game at home to Hibernian will commence from 1:3opm.

It will be fantastic to see Lennon’s Bhoys take to the pitch at Celtic Park again.
