Celtic face Hearts this weekend in a top-of-the-table clash.
Derek McInnes has played down talk of a title race, but with Brendan Rodgers’ side struggling to find their best form, there will be plenty of eyes on the Tynecastle encounter.
Hearts are five points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, having beaten Rangers at Ibrox, Kilmarnock at Rugby Park and Hibs in the Edinburgh Derby at Tynecastle – all with clean sheets.
Rodgers has described his current squad as a ‘Honda Civic’ in a controversial comment after last week’s 2-0 defeat against Dundee. Despite the reaction, he has defended the comment.
And with anticipation building for Sunday’s game, the reverse fixture between the two sides at Celtic Park has now been moved for television coverage.
Celtic vs Hearts fixture in December rearranged
The Hoops have a busy schedule over the next few weeks, starting with tonight’s Europa League clash with Sturm Graz.
After the Hearts fixture on Sunday, it’s a Premiership fixture against Falkirk, a Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers and another European tie against Midtjylland.

It’s a busy run until the next international break – and after that, there’s no let-off in December, when life for Celtic gets notoriously busy.
The Hoops’ match against Hearts at Parkhead has been rearranged for 3PM on Sunday, December 7th.
The match will be shown live on Sky Sports, with intrigue around Hearts clearly creating a demand for the fixture. Whether they are still in with a shout in the title race by then remains to be seen.
If the Hoops win their Semi-Final against their Glasgow rivals, the final will be played the week after, on December 14th at Hampden.
Hearts’ last visit to Celtic Park finished in a 3-0 win for the Hoops in March, but a fair bit has changed since then.
Celtic’s fixtures in December
Rodgers’ side have eight fixtures scheduled for December. Should they make the final of the League Cup, that number will rise to nine.
Those include a home Europa League glamour tie against Roma and away league fixtures against Dundee United and Livingston.
There will be no fixtures on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day this year – instead, it’s Livi away on Saturday the 27th and Fir Park on the 30th.
The New Year Glasgow Derby is on the third of January at Celtic Park, kicking off at 12:30. Who knows where Rangers will be by then.
