Celtic legend Chris Sutton gave his verdict on the Hoops’ comfortable 3-0 win over St Johnstone on Wednesday night.
He took to Twitter shortly after the game, and singled out a Hoops duo for their performance, namely Olivier Ntcham and Leigh Griffiths.
“Celtic emphatic 3-0 win, Ntcham excellent. Griffiths another goal, another important three points” he said.
Celtic were certainly comfortable in the win over St Johnstone. The Hoops had scored three goals by the 26th minute, which all but ended the game as a contest.
Winning run continues
The performance will have pleased Hoops boss Neil Lennon, who has now seen his side win all four games since they returned from the winter break.

Ntcham’s performance was particularly good, especially when you consider that he was linked with a move to West Ham before the game.
Thankfully the player put all that speculation behind him to open the scoring for the Hoops.
Striker getting back to his best
As for Griffiths, he once more showed that he is on his way back to his best, as he scored his third goal in four games since the winter break.

The second-half was a bit of a non-event really, but that won’t be a problem for Celtic boss Neil Lennon. He will be pleased that the Hoops got the match won in a professional manner, and can now move on to the next fixture in a busy schedule.
The Hoops have plenty of games coming up, but it is unlikely that many will be as comfortable as the win that was achieved by the team at McDiarmid Park.
