Celtic legend Scott Brown has managed Fleetwood Town to a brilliant FA Cup upset this afternoon, beating Queens Park Rangers 2-1 to march through to the Fourth Round.
QPR were odds-on favourites to take care of the Fishermen at Highbury but couldn’t find a way to victory despite taking the lead through Sam Field in the 37th minute.
The home team almost immediately equalised thanks to Aristote Nsiala before Promise Omochere scored the crucial winning goal with 23 minutes remaining.

Fleetwood managed to hold on against the 12th-placed team in the English Championship, a full division above Brown’s men.
It’s arguably the best result of the former Celtic captain’s managerial career so far and should give his side great confidence heading deeper into the season.
Brown has managed to guide Fleetwood clear of a relegation battle so far in League One, sitting in 14th with 29 points after 24 matches.
They could now find themselves in a box office fourth-round fixture with some big teams in England – a challenge that Brown would no doubt relish.
That fourth-round draw will take place tomorrow following the match between Manchester City and Chelsea.
Celtic fans will no doubt be keeping an eye on who Fleetwood face as we continue to support Brown’s coaching efforts from afar.
