Celtic hero Odsonne Edouard has laughed off any suggestions he could one day end up playing for Rangers.
The big Frenchman has been in the media after a storming start to the season in Glasgow. Edouard has found himself to be a big-game player at Celtic Park. Links to Napoli in a £30million deal have even been thrown about too. (Daily Mail).
There’s almost an inevitability in the air that Eddy will depart. Celtic fans, however, just want to make sure it’s not anytime too soon.

And, in a bizarre question, Edouard was asked as to whether he could ever play for Rangers. Speaking in the Daily Record, Edouard said the following:
“No, never – it’s impossible!
“I’m in good form, but not the best of my life. There is still more to come. The important thing for me now is to carry on from where I am at the moment and continue in the same vein.
“Personally, my objectives are very simple – to have good matches, score goals and help the team.”
Bizarre question, but good to know
It’s a bit of a bizarre question from the media that one. However, at least we know Edouard isn’t going to do a Kenny Miller on us if his career hits the rails.
But we all know that when Edouard eventually leaves Scotland he won’t look back. He has far too much talent not to thrive wherever he goes next.

Celtic fans are likely getting fed up of so much talk about when Edouard will leave too. It’s one of the more frustrating aspects for supporters in recent years. It feels as though whenever one of our players performs well for a short period, they’re linked with big-money moves away.
That’s the name of the game at Parkhead. However, there’s almost a feeling as though many in the media can’t wait to move our star players on. But even the big man himself has stated he’s committed to Celtic (Celtic TV).

He’ll know when the time is right to make his next move. He’s not once caused the Celtic management team any problems, and certainly hasn’t been banging down the door for a move.
It’ll come one day, but Edouard’s attitude has been exactly how the supporters would want it.
