Celtic midfielder David Turnbull has once again displayed the impressive attitude Ange Postecoglou has instilled amongst his squad.

The Bhoys have made an impressive start to the season and continued that on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Ross County at Parkhead.

Picking up another victory last weekend also saw Ange Postecoglou’s side stretch their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to nine points.

Rangers’ draw earlier in the day provided the Hoops with the chance to extend that advantage, and as the players have shown this season, they are not going to pass up on that opportunity.

Although supporters were well aware going into Saturday’s game that our Glasgow rivals had dropped points, according to Celtic midfielder David Turnbull, Postecoglou’s squad was oblivious.

Instead, the players remained focused on the task at hand in the East End of Glasgow as they went on to make it 14 wins in 15 Scottish Premiership games this season.

Speaking in the aftermath of that victory, Turnbull perfectly displayed the brilliant attitude the Celtic boss has instilled amongst his players.

Instead of focusing on rivals or the league table, the Hoops simply remain focused on the task at hand, which is picking up all three points in their next league game.

He said [The National]: “I don’t think the gaffer or any of the boys focus on the league table, we focus on ourselves and try to get three points in every game,” said Turnbull after Celtic made it 14 wins from the first 15 fixtures of the Scottish Premiership.

“We take each game as it comes, so we don’t really look at the table.

“There is plenty of motivation for the boys every week. The league title is a motivation, every game we play; we are always ready to go and play our game style. So far, it is going well.

“I didn’t know the Rangers result before the game. By the time we got here and got ready, we focused on our own game. I saw it after the game, though.

“We don’t focus on anyone else or their results; it is about what we do. We are doing brilliantly right now, and now we have to keep it going.”

Ange Postecoglou has created an almost unstoppable Scottish Football force who are laser-focused.

Going into Saturday’s game, it could have been easy for the squad to have an eye on the action over in Paisley after Rangers recent struggles.

However, that isn’t how Ange Postecoglou has built this squad.

The 57-year-old has instilled a winners attitude and a squad who are laser-focused on winning trophies and achieving success.

So, it doesn’t matter what our rivals do. Ultimately, it is down to us to deliver all three points and put all our focus on the task at hand rather than outside factors which won’t affect our games.

This is the exact reason Ange Postecoglou has achieved the success he already has at Celtic and will continue to do so for the next few years.

For now, the Bhoys will be taking a break from domestic action whilst the winter World Cup in Qatar takes place in November and December.

However, you just know that Postecoglou and his player’s focus will remain on the next game and continuing to improve before their return to action next month.
