Celtic man shares the Ange Postecoglou tactical instruction that paid off big on Saturday

Greg Taylor has hailed the impact of Liel Abada at Celtic and the tactical instruction from Ange Postecoglou that led to Saturday’s winner against Dundee United.

Abada netted in the last-minute against the Tayside club, moving Celtic to within two points of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

A moment like that could be construed as luck, but for Taylor, it was simply a reward for what Postecoglou demands of his wingers tactically.

Speaking to The Daily Record, Taylor said: “He scored in Europe in his first game and he’s really taken to the team and to the club. His numbers for someone so young are top drawer.

“The gaffer’s big on the opposite winger being in the middle of the goals when balls are coming across because so many goals are scored in there and Liel’s so good at that side of things.

“He’s had a lot of big moments so far this season and this was another one. He has a real talent for sniffing out goals like that and he took it really well.”

It’s all about manipulating environments as the manager would say. It’s rarely about luck. Abada stuck to his tactical instructions and Jota knew there would be a body in the box for his sumptuous cross.

Yes, Celtic left it late, but it’s this perseverance and determination that is proving so effective for the Bhoys this season.

With Postecoglou at the helm, nothing is left to chance, including Saturday’s winner.
