Celtic managed to get two bodies in the door during the winter window despite speculation that more would arrive.

Winger Nicolas Kuhn joined from Rapid Vienna for a reported £3 million and was followed by Republic of Ireland striker Adam Idah, who has come in on a loan deal from Norwich City for the remainder of this term.

Despite the January sales proving to be a frustrating endeavour in the eyes of some supporters, there will still be plenty of intrigue to see how the duo fare in green and white.

Last weekend against Aberdeen, both made their first notable impact since arriving at Parkhead, combining well before Kuhn’s deflected strike snuck past Kelle Roos to ensure the Hoops took a point at Pittodrie.

Of course, Brendan Rodgers will now have seen Kuhn and Idah in action for a prolonged period in training, and it will be interesting to see when they could potentially start for the first time.

Tonight, Hibernian await at Easter Road and the trip to Edinburgh may be the ideal opportunity to freshen things up by throwing them in at the deep end.

Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn speaks about Adam Idah partnership

Partnerships can be a great thing in football if done correctly, and plenty have graced the slopes of Parkhead over the years.

It would be a little strange to suggest that Kuhn and Idah may form one purely because they are new signings; however, the former has spoken about the prospect of linking up with the Irishman more in a recent interview.

Cited by The Celtic Way, Kuhn stated: “We did some positive stuff. We linked up and I am hoping you will see even more in the coming weeks.”

Excitingly, the former Germany Under-20 international seems to be enthusiastic over the potential impact he and Idah offer Rodgers between now and the end of the campaign.

There hasn’t been much positivity surrounding the Scottish Premiership holders lately, though their emergence has given a minor silver lining that things may start to improve.

Wouldn’t it be lovely if they could continue their positive start in Celtic colours tonight by playing a part in their side claiming three vital points at Easter Road?
