Celtic now monitoring highly-rated youngster earmarked for senior international honours

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will be keen to open his chequebook once the summer transfer window opens for business.

According to The Daily Mail, Celtic are interested in highly rated Ghanaian youngster Aziz Musibau. The 17-year-old striker is currently on the books of Dreams FC in his homeland.

The outlet state that Aston Villa and Inter Milan have shown admiration towards the forward, who has been earmarked as the man to spearhead Ghana’s attack in their upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.

Financially, Celtic would need to shell out around £1.2 million to land his signature; nevertheless, there is believed to be further competition for the prospect from unnamed Premier League sides.

Comparisons have been drawn between the attacker and legendary figure Didier Drogba due to his powerful nature and potent shooting.

Per Transfermarkt, Aziz has made five senior appearances for Dreams FC, though he is yet to find the target at this early stage in his career.

Feasibly, he wouldn’t go straight into Rodgers’ senior squad; regardless, it is positive to see Celtic looking to the future while searching for untapped talent.
