Celtic have unveiled their latest collaboration with Adidas, which includes the new Origins shirt, paying tribute to the club’s Irish roots.

Last night, the club posted an official teaser on social media platform X stating that there would be some form of announcement today at 8 a.m. with the strapline ‘Celebrating our Irish origins…’, creating a fair deal of speculation among supporters.

Fast forward to this morning, and Celtic have now released the 2023/24 edition of their Origins collection following the popularity of last season’s 135th anniversary shirt, which is on sale now [Celtic FC].

Official communication on the club website read: “As a club famous for its proud Irish origins, Celtic FC are delighted to reveal our new 2023/24 Adidas Irish Origins collection.

“This brand new and extended collection follows the phenomenal response to last year’s 135th anniversary Origins Kit, allowing supporters in Scotland, Ireland and beyond to celebrate our connections, past and present, with the Emerald Isle.

“An Irish identity is strongly woven into the fabric of Celtic Football Club since Brother Walfrid – himself an Irishman – founded the club back in 1887.

“Thousands upon thousands have sailed the Irish Sea to support the Bhoys over the years.

“Their passion and that of the proud Irish players who have pulled on the Hoops for Celtic, alongside the managers and coaches who have been written into the club’s illustrious history, ensure that our Celtic connections are celebrated worldwide – then, now and always!”

As can be seen below, the Bhoys have opted for a pinstripe design on the shirt with the additional opportunity to buy a selection of hoodies, tracksuit tops, polo shirts and training bottoms that have formed part of our latest collection.

The limited edition Origins jersey, which can be purchased for £55, features several noticeable elements, including the Irish tricolour on the back of the shirt to accompany trims around the arm and neck areas.

Celtic have a strong Irish identity that has been present since our foundation. The club have published full photos and details on how to buy items from the new range on their official website.
