Celtic have been terrific this season with a number of standout players in the ranks.
There are the goal scorers in Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn at the top of the pitch who have shared more than 40 goals between them this term.
At the other end Kasper Schmeichel has been terrific and is close to a Celtic record but in front of him he has had plenty of help from the defence who continue to improve.
And two of Celtic’s key players this campaign have now been recognised for their form by their international manager. Both Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty have been named in Mauricio Pochettino’s USA squad for the coming CONCACAF Nations League vs Panama later this month.
The Argentine coach knows a thing or two about talent having worked at the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and PSG so Celtic’s duo can be proud at their inclusion.

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty are in USA squad
Carter-Vickers has won 18 caps for his nation over the years with his debut coming against Portugal in a 1-1 draw back in 2017. Six of those outings have come in competitive football and he will certainly hope to add to that number having thrived in the Champions League with his club this season.
Trusty, meanwhile, is a lot less experienced with the USA squad than his colleague having made just four appearances in the white jersey of the States.
The former Sheffield United defender played three times in the most recent CONCACAF Nations League with his debut coming back in March of 2023 in a 7-1 hammering of Grenada during which he provided an assist.
His other appearances have come against Canada, Mexico and Jamaica respectively but he has been reduced to minutes off the bench and short cameos in these games.

The big man will be hoping his form alongside CCV at Celtic Park can give him a better chance of playing more games for his country and even perhaps alongside his pal at the heart of their defence.
The pair have shown up well as a duo at the back for Celts in all competitions and have added to their stats in recent weeks.
In total they have paired each other 24 times this season so far.
In that time they’ve won 18 matches – including the penalty shootout vs Rangers in December’s Premier Sports Cup final – drawn four and lost just twice.
They have kept 11 clean sheets.
