The North Curve have posted a touching video of a Jackie McNamara song being sung at Celtic Park tonight.
While attentions on such a momentous night may have been elsewhere, the section of the ground which hosts the Green Brigade, took to Twitter shortly after full-time to post a video of fans singing a song for the former hero during Neil Lennon’s men’s 5-0 success over Hearts.
Earlier today, the BBC reported that former full-back McNamara had been taken out of an induced coma after collapsing in York on Saturday.

McNamara is said to have been speaking to his family in news that will make those in the Celtic family, and beyond, rest a little easier.
And the former Dundee United manager was in the thoughts of the Hoops support at a raucous Celtic Park this evening – as the fans sung a touching song for him.
The fans group posted the tweet alongside the simply message: “Keep the faith Jackie” and a love heart.

McNamara will be welcome a title party once his health improves
Of course, we would never compare someone’s very life with anything that could happen on a football pitch.
However, you would love to think that our former hero would take some strength from the fact his old side are closing in on yet another title.

McNamara helped us to nine trophies in his time in Glasgow so it’s kind of fitting that we’re going for nine-in-a-row this season.
Hopefully his health continues to improve and he can be a very welcome guest at a title party that is looking increasingly likely.
