Celtic Park will be preparing for a domestic first this weekend against Dundee United, with VAR being used for the first time since its introduction.
Supporters are well aware of the system by now, with Video Assistant Referees being utilised on a couple of occasions at Paradise in European action.
However, Saturday will be the first time that the Parkhead faithful will get a glimpse of the technology being utilised on the domestic front in Scotland.

As Celtic fans are well aware, the system was first introduced around two weeks ago, with the Bhoys’ trip to Tynecastle being its first televised use in Scottish Football on Sky Sports.
There were plenty of talking points that arose from the Hoops’ 4-3 victory that day, with referee Nick Walsh having plenty of controversial calls throughout.
Last weekend’s match against Livingston was the 2nd opportunity to see VAR in action, and on this occasion, Celtic benefited from the system, receiving a penalty in the 3-0 victory.
However, both of those matches came away from home, and this Saturday’s Scottish Premiership match-up will be the first opportunity for supporters at Parkhead to see VAR in action.
Of course, this is something that those who regularly attend games in the East End of Glasgow will have to get used to, as it is unlikely that VAR will be going anywhere soon.
Whilst the version of the technology in European action has shown to be pretty efficient at Celtic Park, the same can’t be said for Scottish officials.

Just last week, our opponents Dundee United were on the opposite end of a VAR call, which saw John Beaton send former Celtic man Tony Watt off in the first half of their 1-0 loss to Motherwell.
However, that call has since been rescinded, and Watt will now be free to face Ange Postecoglou’s side this weekend at Parkhead.
It should certainly be interesting, to say the least, to see if there are any problems or issues during the system’s first use at the home of the champions.
Both Ange Postecoglou and the head officials in this country will certainly be hoping not after a controversial few weeks for Scottish Football.
