Celtic Park will be packed to the rafters for tomorrow’s crucial Premiership clash against Aberdeen after the club confirmed the fixture had sold-out.

Celtic broke the impressive news on Friday morning with the club’s official ticket account saying: “Standard tickets for tomorrow’s match vs Aberdeen are now sold-out.”

The club also released a positive statement on the website, confirming that all of our remaining matches in 2019 had now sold-out. Both home games against Aberdeen and Rangers will be full houses while the club will also be backed by a capacity away support at St. Mirren on Boxing Day.

The hat-trick of festive sell-outs is yet more evidence that the club’s supporters are really backing Neil Lennon’s men as they aim to extend their lead at the top of the Premiership before the end of the year.

Aberdeen sell-out says a lot about the Celtic faithful

The fanbase have sold out plenty of home games against Aberdeen over the years so that isn’t exactly groundbreaking news. However, the fact that the stadium will be packed for a fixture just four days before Christmas shows just how on board the supporters are with the current side.

The novelty of a Saturday 3pm kick-off also won’t have been lost on fans. Such start times have been few and far between so far this season due to our involvement in the Europa League.

In fact, tomorrow’s game will be just our fourth Saturday 3pm league start all season. We’ve shown remarkable form in the prior three – battering 17 goals to no reply against St. Johnstone, Ross County and Livingston – however many would expect a stiffer challenge against Derek McInnes’ men.

Everyone knows that the game on the 29th is our biggest before the end of 2019. But the Aberdeen clash has a lot riding on it too. At a sold out Celtic Park, under the lights, it promises to be a cracking afternoon.
