It seems highly unlikely that Celtic Park will be sold out for the Europa League play-off first leg clash against AIK on Thursday.
The Hoops were still announcing on Twitter that tickets would be available for the game as recently as Thursday morning.

This makes a change for the Hoops, as the previous game against Cluj did sell out. Of course, it should be remembered that match had Champions League implications.
Game could have big impact on Hoops season
In a way, it is unfortunate that the game against AIK will not be sold out. The game could have a huge impact on Celtic’s season. A win would make fans forget about the recent poor results and sluggish transfer movement.
However, it is not a surprise that the game will not be sold out. The fact that it is a Europa League clash will play a large part in that.
Lacking the glamour of Champions League
No matter what anybody says, the Europa League is just not as exciting and glamorous a tournament as the Champions League.
That means that fan interest isn’t as high. When you consider how important the game is. The fact that the Hoops seem to be in a bit of a poor run of form won’t help matters either.
Hopefully the crowd that will be there on the night will cheer the Hoops on to what would be a very important victory.
