The BBC live reporting feed told how fans reacted to one particular save by Schmeichel, and it was just as bad as booing.
The BBC news feed reported, “There’s going to be a lot of talk about Kasper Schmeichel after the final whistle.
“The Celtic keeper has had a night to forget, looking very suspect for two of Stuttgart’s goals.
“A few ironic cheers can be heard as he gets down to stop a low shot from Stuttgart replacement Tiago Tomas.”
Kasper Schmeichel’s Celtic stats vs Stuttgart make brutal reading
Admittedly, Schmeichel didn’t have his best game in Celtic’s defeat to Stuttgart, but do the stats back up the fan anger?
According to Fotmob they do.
