Celtic have this afternoon published their first photos of pre-season training as many Hoops stars returned to Lennoxtown this morning.

The Bhoys are still relatively fresh off a huge title-winning debut season under Ange Postecoglou that ended in both the Scottish Premiership and the League Cup returning to Celtic Park.

But that’s all in the past now as the club prepares to make yet more history next season. And the club has already posted some pics of this morning’s training session:

The players currently involved today will be those who didn’t feature during the recent international break. The likes of Joe Hart, Reo Hatate, and James Forrest for example are highlighted in the above posts

Celtic will, however, look to have everyone back and ready for their first pre-season game on July 6th against SC Wiener Viktoria.

Ange’s men have a schedule that will involve 6 games in just 18 days as we gear up for another big campaign.

Ange Postecoglou and Celtic ready to deliver more success in big year

It’s fair to say we expect a big season after last year’s incredible title-winning journey. The Hoops will also be involved in the UCL too, with big expectations on the team’s shoulders to compete.

Primarily of course, we’ll be looking to defend the Scottish Premiership title with consistency and confidence this term. There will undoubtedly be different challenges coming the way of the players, and pre-season is a great chance for Ange to try and move this team forward.

We also expect a fairly eventful pre-season too. The Celtic boss is never one to accept defeat regardless of the occasion. He’ll be looking for a strong month as he gets the players up to speed.

Celtic’s Premiership campaign will kick off against Aberdeen on July 31st at Parkhead. But there’s a power of work to be done before that day on the training ground.

All eyes will be on how the plkayers react to the off-period with a focus being placed on getting back to the form they left in back in May.

It’s just great to see them back out at Lennoxtown ready to tackle the new campaign. It may only have been a month, but the off-season has felt a lot longer than that so far!
