Fan tributes to Celtic captain Scott Brown have started to arrive at Paradise ahead of his last home game with the Bhoys.

Celtic play St Johnstone at Celtic Park on Wednesday night.

It’s Brown’s second last match home or away, with his final game as Hoops captain coming against Hibernian at Easter Road next weekend.

Celtic had previously put out a plea for fans to bring tributes to the stadium between 10am and 4pm from today through Monday.

Supporters have wasted no time in arriving at the stadium to do so.

The club posted pictures on social media this afternoon, showcasing some of them.

Club staff will be collecting all of the tributes and arranging them for a special display against St Johnstone on Wednesday night.

Brown’s goodbye won’t quite be the same as if fans were in the stadium, but hopefully he feels the love from an appreciative support regardless.

The captain will go down as one of the club’s most iconic players ever. Making 618 appearances to date, his spell as leader of Celtic defined our last decade of domination in Scottish football.

Despite an immensely disappointing season, he deserves to be honoured in this way.

Hopefully lots more colour arrives at the stadium before the mid-week match.
