Celtic’s trip to face St. Mirren on Wednesday looks set to take place after the Paisley side’s Saturday game was declared on.
Neil Lennon takes his Hoops to the Buddies in midweek, but doubts had been placed on the fixture after two Saints players tested positive for COVID-19.
Earlier, we told you how the clash tomorrow between St. Mirren and Hibernian was in doubt, and how that could affect the Hoops.
Now, however, the BBC’s Chris McLaughlin has declared that the Saturday match will definitely take place.
How Celtic’s schedule looks
Of course, it is impossible to predict anything in the current climate of Scottish football.
However, if tomorrow’s game is going on in Paisley, it would seem highly likely that the venue will host Celtic a few days later.
This will be seen as a big boost for Celtic – who will be really keen to play one of our games in hand and move closer to the top of the table.
It will also give Lennon more time to get some of his new recruits up to speed and in to his first-team.
We face Ross County tomorrow, before travelling to Paisley on Wednesday for a 7:45pm kick-off.
After that we have two home games against Livingston and Hibernian, with our Europa League tie away to either Riga FC (Latvia) or SS Tre Fiori (San Marino) sandwiched in between.
We should then have our final Europa League qualifier before travelling to St. Johnstone, prior to the next international break.
It’s a busy schedule but one the players should be relishing.
