Focus will then switch to Celtic’s pre-season campaign for the summer of 2025.

When do Celtic return for pre-season 2025?

The Celtic first-team squad are expected to return for pre-season training on Tuesday, July 1. They will train at Lennoxtown for one week.

Where is Celtic’s pre-season training camp?

Celtic will travel south to the Algarve region of Portugal for an eight-day warm weather training camp.

Celtic’s pre-season 2025 friendlies

Celtic have officially confirmed seven friendly matches. The first will be against Queen’s Park at Lesser Hampden on July 4, before the Hoops face Cork City in the inaugural Cork Super Cup at the SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The third friendly encounter is a behind-closed-doors meeting against Portuguese top-flight side Estrela da Amadora, who finished just above the relegation zone last season.

Celtic will then play Sporting CP at the Estádio do Algarve, the second and final game during their warm weather training camp in the region.

The Hoops will fly back to Glasgow to face Premier League outfit and current Carabao Cup holders Newcastle United at Celtic Park. Both teams will compete for the adidas Trophy.

Celtic will finish their pre-season campaign at the Como Cup in Italy. The Bhoys will play Ajax on July 24 for a chance to reach the final on July 27 against either Como 1907 or Al-Ahli.

If the Bhoys lose to Ajax, they will compete in the third place play-off on July 26 instead.

How to buy tickets for Celtic’s pre-season fixtures

Tickets are currently on sale for the games against Cork City, Sporting CP, Newcastle United and Ajax, as well as the Como Cup third place play-off and final.

Tickets are not yet on sale for the Queen’s Park friendly. The Scottish Championship club will announce details very soon.

Celtic fans have the option to sit in one of three stands at the SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Ajax vs Celtic tickets

At the moment, only Celtic 2025/26 season ticket holders can purchase tickets for the Ajax clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. You will need to provide a client reference number to buy tickets.

The client reference number will allow you to buy:
