The bleep test was one of the first tasks on show before the video moved on to individual positioning drills . There was a strong emphasis from the coaches on constantly keeping the ball moving – something Ange has always wanted his Celtic players to take on board.

The players also took part in a two-touch training game that appeared to involved all goalkeepers as well as youngsters who were involved today.

The clip amade sure to highlight Kewell who wasn’t shy in sending messages to the players and keeping them motivated during drills. During one of them, the former Liverpool man told the Celtic players that “the hardest thing in football is to play it simple”. A class message that was hopefully taken on board.

Ben Siegrist was another one of the individuals regularly seen in the clip as he got down to work his new goalkeeping teammates at Celtic Park. He didn’t look fazed either as he gets used to his new style of playing.

All in all, it was a great insight behind the scenes in what looked like a positive reintroduction back into training life after the off-season.

What it does do is open up opportunities for those in the squad who haven’t been given much of a chance over the last 12 months. Fans will be intrigued to see who can come to the fore over the next month or so.

And it doesn’t look as though Kewell is going to take much time to get bedded in. He looked in his comfort zone at Lennoxtown and will no doube be an invaluable figure for the players moving forward.

It’s all systems go at Lennoxtown once again it seems. Now, the countdown begins to our first pre-season clash against SC Wiener Viktoria on July 6th.
