Celtic have today released a second statement on events at Ibrox following their 3-3 draw with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
Yesterday, the club communicated their disdain after it emerged that several coins were thrown at John Kennedy during proceedings.
In full, it read: “It is totally unacceptable that our staff have once again been targeted in this way. We will be raising our serious concerns with Rangers and we understand that the matter is currently being investigated by Police Scotland.”
We all remember the scenes in our 2-1 victory over Rangers in 2022 at Ibrox, where Joe Hart’s goalmouth was smothered in broken glass as he emerged for the second half.

Now, further reports of missile throwing from the crowd have become apparent, prompting club chiefs into action.
Celtic release statement on incident involving Matt O’Riley
Danish playmaker Matt O’Riley scored the second goal of the day from the spot for Celtic, and new information has come to light indicating that a glass bottle was hurled in his direction after he slotted past Jack Butland [The Scottish Sun].
In the wake of their statement involving Kennedy yesterday, Celtic have revealed their disappointment at the ‘repeated targeting’ of players and coaching staff.
A club spokesperson stated: “It has been confirmed today that a glass bottle was thrown at Matt O’Riley at yesterday’s match. The repeated targeting of our players and staff with missiles is quite appalling and completely unacceptable.
“We have already raised our serious concerns with Rangers and understand that police are investigating the matter.”
67 Hail Hail will keep fans up to date with the latest on the situation, which seems to be developing rapidly after yesterday’s action.
Football is meant to provide a competitive environment, yet a safe one for the safety of spectators and individuals involved; however, it is clear that wasn’t the case yesterday in an emotionally-charged contest at Ibrox.
