Celtic have reportedly failed in an attempt to sign one of their long-term transfer targets. The BBC are reporting that Kilmarnock have turned down an offer from the Hoops for Greg Taylor.
The player has been a Celtic transfer target for a few weeks now. Killie boss Angelo Alessio recently confirmed that talks have been ongoing between the sides.
However, the Hoops have yet to make an offer that is acceptable to Kilmarnock, who rate Taylor as being worth £3 million.
Will Hoops bid again?

It will be intriguing to see if the Hoops make another bid for the player before the transfer window closes. The Hoops do need to sign another left-back.
They will need to move fast to get Taylor in if they want him to play in Sunday’s Glasgow derby against Rangers. However, unless they match Kilmarnock’s asking price that is not going to happen.
A very consistent player

Taylor would be a good signing for the Hoops. He has been one of the most consistent left-backs in Scottish football over the last few seasons.
Is he as good a player as who he would be replacing, Kieran Tierney? Probably not. However, Tierney was a once in a generation talent.
That does not mean that Taylor is not a good player. He would be a more than useful addition to the Celtic squad if the Hoops manage to sign him before the transfer window closes on Monday at midnight.
