The David Turnbull to Celtic transfer saga was one of the stories of the summer. The on again, off again transfer dragged on for weeks until Turnbull’s knee injury led to the deal being cancelled.
However, the player looks set to be fit in January, and reports claims that Celtic are once more interested in signing the player.
The Scottish Sun is reporting that Celtic will ‘reactivate their interest’ in the player as soon as he recovers from his knee injury.
Knee injury meant deal was cancelled

The Hoops had agreed a £3.25 million fee for the player. However, the issue found in his medical meant he had to have an operation and the deal was cancelled.
The fact that the Hoops are still interested in signing the player even after he suffered an injury shows that Neil Lennon and the Celtic staff must rate the player very highly.
Remarkable scoring record from midfield

The player scored 16 goals from midfield for Motherwell last season in what was a breakthrough year for the player, who is still only 20.
If he had signed in the summer, it would have been interesting to see where he would have fit into the Hoops side. Midfield is the strongest part of the squad.
Celtic fans may now get to find that out in January, should the deal be completed. It remains to be seen if Turnbull will end up a Celtic player, but the club do seem determined to bring him to Celtic Park.
