Kieran Tierney will be allowed to join the list of Celtic departures this summer if the club have their valuation reached.
According to the Telegraph, Celtic are “willing” to let Tierney go elsewhere this summer. They’ll apparently refuse to sell for anything under what they value the left-back, however.
That’s something we’ve seen already this summer when it comes to Tierney suitors. Arsenal have already seen a £15million bid rejected, with Celtic wanting around £25m (Telegraph). Although whether that could go down as more of an insult than a bid from the Gunners is unclear.

But it’s also interesting to hear that Celtic could indeed be willing to let their star-man go. It seems a different story with the likes of Callum McGregor, who the club have issued a hands-off warning with (Daily Record). That same kind of response to the Tierney bid hasn’t happened. Instead, Celtic do seem open to listening to offers.
The Celtic departures don’t need a star name added to it
You have to wonder whether the reported idea that Tierney has let Celtic know he wants to leave has played a part (Daily Mail). It’s difficult to see Tierney telling Celtic that on one hand. But then again, we don’t all truly know how we would react if a big move was on the table.

It’s the only thing that could make Celtic differ from their McGregor stance. Granted, the club will have their price for the midfielder too. If someone comes in with serious money for CalMac, he’ll be out the door just like Tierney would. But it’s the public perception that matters here.
As it stands, Celtic appear open to bids for Tierney. They don’t come across as welcoming with regards to McGregor. Therefore, something will have likely made that the case.
Nothing further has come in from Arsenal or even an opening bid from Napoli as of yet. The Telegraph, however, believes that the Serie A side are getting ready to get rid of their own left-back Mario Rui in order to bring Tierney in. At the moment, Rui is still firmly a Napoli player.

And there’s also yet to be an update on Arsenal’s reported pursuit of Marcelo too (Sport). If they are to bring in the Brazilian, you have to wonder what use they would have for Tierney.
But it appears that Celtic are willing to let Arsenal keep bidding. Whether anyone matches our reported £25m valuation remains to be seen.
