Celtic fans and fans of other clubs in Scotland have rallied to offer support for Leigh Griffiths.
Brendan Rodgers revealed the striker is taking an extended break from football due to ‘ongoing issues.‘
Griffiths, who only recently returned from injury, will not be available for selection for the foreseeable future.

The Scottish internationalist has received well wishes and messages of support from fans of all clubs.
It’s not only Celtic fans who have rallied around their striker.
Fans of other clubs, notably Hearts and Rangers, have offered their support to the former Hibs man.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
Of course, the Celtic fans have also spread their message of support for Griffiths far and wide.
And fans of Griffiths’ former club Hibs haven’t forgotten his contribution at Easter Road.
The news about Griffiths’ extended absence is another indication that money and fame doesn’t equal happiness.
However, hopefully Griffiths can find some comfort in the fact that he has the support of other clubs as well as Celtic.
It is an important and positive step that he has admitted he’s not 100% and is seeking the help he needs.

Return when he’s ready
It’s important that Griffiths does not rush back into action, irregardless if Celtic are struggling for options up front.
Both Celtic and more importantly Griffiths will be better off long term if he comes back when he’s ready.
The Celtic support never let one of their own down. They’ll be with Griffiths in his absence.
Don’t be surprised to hear a vocal show of support for him tonight.
