Celtic have announced a contract extension with shirt sponsor Dafabet to set a new record.
The club confirmed the deal earlier this afternoon.
According to the club’s website, the new deal was struck and will make Dafabet the longest-running shirt partnership in their history.
The company first sponsored Celtic back in 2016/17 season.
They did, however, join as the club’s betting partner in 2015 so that takes the relationship to a near-10 year length and the new three years added will take it beyond 13 years.
Chief executive Michael Nicholson told of the pride to extend the deal between both parties.
And speaking to the Hoops website he explained the benefit of having strong commercial partnerships like the one with Dafabet.
He said: “Dafabet has been a hugely important partner of the club for so many years and we are delighted to agree this new extension.

John Cruces, Head of Sponsorship at Dafabet, added: “We are very happy to be extending our partnership with Celtic FC.
“To be the longest front of shirt partner on such an iconic and worldwide recognised shirt is a proud moment. To think it was back to the 2016/17 season, an invincible season, that we were first on the shirt is somewhat surreal.

Dafabet often donate space on the front of shirt to the Celtic FC Charity Foundation.
